Woodrow was born on March 27th, 2010 to Woodlandstar Doll. Born with only one eye, he was quite weak. He couldn't stand by himself but if I held him to the teat he could drink. I slept with him and Dolly in the barn the night he was born and continued to bring him home with me every night for a week and a half. He slept in an old boot box and I bottle fed him at night; during the day he stayed with his mom. Within two weeks he was drinking and standing without help and even jumping and twisting! He was far behind a regular goat kid for a few months but he caught up! I tried to disbud him but that didn't work out so well. I also banded him which went well and seemed fine... until he started blubbering and growing tons of hair! Turned out my first banding was only half-successful, if you get what I mean. So I had a half-buck with scurs and one eye. It broke my heart but I had to sell him. He was a sweetheart little buckling!
